Hello people.
Today was a VERY eventful day. The morning that I had, was not like any other.
Why? Because my room was on fire!
Like, literally.
So this was how the morning went ....
7.00am
My alarm clock is set at 7 every morning. Once it goes off, I turn my body and my hand automatically tap it for a 5 minutes snooze. As part of my daily routine, I did so and went back to my beauty sleep.
7.02am
BANG! This reminded me of the big bang. Anyway, the sudden explosion was VERY LOUD. Certainly, any light sleepers would have been awoken by this disturbance. But, as the lazy, nutty person I am, I ignored it, not concerned what it was from, assuming it was my mother cooking outside, in the kitchen. Loud continuous SIZZLING noises followed, and I came to my sense that it couldn't have been my dear mother cooking. If it was, then it would be as though she was next to me, with a pan filled with shells in her hand, tossing it madly. The next conclusion that popped in my half-asleep brain, was that my bookshelf, filled with many encyclopedia, napped. I thought that books were falling down, but the noise went on for a while, so I was certain that it could not have been my bookshelf as I do not own that many books. Yet, I haven't lifted my head up to see what it was. All this process somehow went for a duration of probably 30 seconds. Amazing how our brains think of so many things in such short moments.
7.03am
Finally, I decided to lift my head up to see what was the problem, and to my astonishment, the whole room was red, and smokey. I smelt something burning, and my nutty brain thought that there was a DUST STORM in my room. I'm not normal. Anyway, I saw flames and BANG BANG, my whole table was on FIRE! :O As quick as lightning, I ran out of my room, bare feet and alarmed my family that my room was on fire.
7.04am
The girl who I share my room with, what can I say, maybe slow reflexes, came to realisation that the room was on fire when she was awoken at the moment that explosion took place. The family figured out that the fire started because her portable DVD player battery exploded while it was charging throughout the night. What was more, was that the player was on top of my map, which is protected in a plastic coating. There went my precious map, sizzling and burning and toasting silently under that destructive made-in-China mechanic. It's in the bin now.
So basically the whole family came (Mum, Dad, N ) and we put out the fire. Thank God it burnt in the morning, when there were people at home, or else my whole house, everything, would be gone. Just ashes left. Maybe we could have died too, from inhaling that disgusting polluted air. Shall we say that God protected us? Thank you. I am so grateful for every one in my family is still alive.
I went to school, very excited, as something extraordinary, out of the blue, happened to me this morning. Then, never had I once thought that the fire could have cost 5 people's lives. Maybe, after a long while, I came to realise that. Am I stupid or stupid...? Yeah, stupid, it is.
Yep, that was my eventful morning. If you attend my school, my class, then you probably heard this like 1000 times. I'm sorry, it's just very exciting ....
Through this experience, I have come to realisation that:
1. I am incredibly cheap.
2. I do listen in class.
I cannot be bothered to say more. I missed out quite a few details, but who cares. You get the jot of it, don't you?
Let's thank God for today.
Anyway, I have a science exam tomorrow! I should be studying...
Sorry, if this is hard to read.
Bye.
Jusy
